Obstetrics and Gynecology / Women’s Health
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic is a referral based clinic with the exception of pregnancy care, new birth control consults, and infertility treatment. Referrals to our clinic must be made by your Primary Care Manager prior to scheduling an appointment. Available services/treatments provided at Misawa AB for active duty military, retirees, dependents, and civilian patients are: obstetric care, postpartum care, contraceptive counseling, fertility treatment, IUD and Nexplanon insertion/removal, cervical dysplasia care and follow-up, woman’s well exams, and transgender care. Gynecological surgical services offered include tubal ligation, laparoscopy, hysterectomy, urinary incontinence, and prolapse surgery.
Please note that high-risk patients are handled on a case by case basis and are transferred to an appropriate facility if necessary. If you are a new or existing obstetrics patient and would like to schedule/register for a group class including, New OB Class, Childbirth 101, and breastfeeding please call the clinic.
Patient must be five days late for her menstrual cycle and must have at least one positive home pregnancy test prior to being seen for a walk-in pregnancy test. For DEPO injections, patients must be within their injection window and must have their prescription picked up prior to check-in.
