Behavioral Health Consultant
Internal Behavioral Health Consultants, or IBHCs, are extensions of your primary care team and comprised of a board-certified clinical health psychologist and an active duty Air Force clinical psychologist. Please check in at the Family Health front desk 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. We focus on helping you develop healthy behaviors, learn self-management strategies, and change current behaviors to optimize your overall health and well-being. We can help you develop a behavioral plan for a wide range of concerns including: sleep difficulties; managing chronic illnesses such as diabetes, headache, high blood pressure, and chronic pain. We offer help with lifestyle changes including: physical inactivity; tobacco use; and weight gain or loss. We see patients for: anxiety, anger, depression, and other mood symptoms; anxiety including phobias, fears, persistent worry; stress; adjustment to new environments and changes; parenting; behavioral concerns in children and adolescents; attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD screening; memory and cognitive screening; executive functioning skills to include goal-setting, time management, organization; and sexual concerns.
