The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

The 35th Medical Group is a 23-bed inpatient military treatment facility providing primary and specialty care to approximately 7,000 beneficiaries at the 35th Fighter Wing, Misawa Air Base, Japan.

We serve 2,900 active duty Air Force, 300 Navy, 30 Army, around 800 civilians and their dependents. Inpatient services are provided by our Multi-Service and Maternal-Newborn/Labor and Delivery units. Primary care services includes Family Health, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Flight and Navy Medicine clinics. Specialty Care includes General Surgery, Orthopedics, Physical Therapy, OB-Gyn/Women’s Health, Mental Health, and Family Advocacy. Our Dental Clinic provides general, pediatric and preventive services.

Medical needs exceeding MTF capability are either referred to a Japanese treatment facility or aeromedically evacuated to other MTFs where medical care is available.
